Teachers
Josh Kaufman (drums + guitar)
After over a decade of experience teaching, performing, and working with a vast network of musicians and educators, I am excited to introduce OC Music Shop! OCMS is a team made up of my favorite teachers and performers that I’ve had the pleasure of working with over the past thirteen years. I greatly appreciate their passion and knowledge for music and know that you will too. See the other OCMS teachers below!
Sam Krones (guitar + bass + piano + voice + audio production)
Sam Krones started playing guitar at age twelve, quickly gaining performance experience by starting a band in her formative years. Nearly seven years later, that same band, Stereosity, is beginning to tour nationally! While known for her advanced guitar playing in the band, Sam is also a seasoned multi-instrumentalist. In addition to guitar, she teaches piano, bass, vocal, and music production. Sam is attending Saddleback College where she continues to sharpen her crafts in harmony, musicianship, and performance. She considers herself a lifetime student of music and loves to share that knowledge with the next generation of musicians!
Cole Fredrick (guitar + bass + piano + voice + audio production)
Cole Fredrick is a guitarist, singer, music producer, multi-instrumentalist, and model/actor raised in Orange County, California. Cole studied Classical Guitar at the Orange County School of the Arts. He then attended the California Institute of the Arts and the Musicians Institute to study guitar, vocals, songwriting, and music production. Cole's musical focus is primarily pop, funk, hip hop, jazz, and R&B. He has been playing guitar for over 18 years and performing live shows with Undecided Future for 12 years. His passion for the entertainment industry has strengthened his valuable network of musicians leading to collaborations with Jordin Sparks, Dem Jointz, Jason Derulo, and more.
Ariana Hedayati (piano + violin + cello)
Ariana has been playing classical instruments for almost 20 years. She’s played cello in school orchestras since she was a kid all the way into college, and even currently, on occasion. She has been teaching piano, cello and violin in the RSM area for the past 9 years. With use of her psychology background, she has proficient teaching techniques and tailors them to each individual student. She ensures all of her students have fun during the lesson and are forming a love for the instrument and music itself.
Hunter Linn (drums)
An OCMS alumni, Hunter started playing the drums at age seven. Fast forward almost ten years later and he is now teaching the valuable knowledge he acquired as a former OC Music Shop student! Hunter excels in many styles of music and especially gravitates towards Jazz, Funk, and Fusion. He is currently a student at THHS focusing on his academics and the track and field team. Hunter keeps his students progressing with his engaging lesson plans and relatable experience.
Luke Leibee (guitar + bass + piano)
Luke Leibee began studying bass, guitar, and music theory at age 11 and has been a driving force in the band Stereosity ever since. With years of performing, writing, and recording under his belt, Luke has contributed to Stereosity's rise in the music scene, including national tours and an ever-growing fanbase. Alongside his performance career, Luke is a passionate teacher for bass, guitar, and piano, while also sharing his knowledge of rhythm, theory, and performance with the next generation of musicians. Luke continues to develop as both a musician and educator, always striving to push the boundaries of his craft.
Hunter Leibee (drums)
Another OCMS alumni, Hunter showed a strong inclination for music at an early age. After many years of formal drum instuction, Hunter has gained a wealth of drumming and music knowledge that he utilizes to this day. He has been a core member of local Orange County band Stereosity since their inception, gaining more experience in touring, recording, and performance technique. Hunter loves all music and especially enjoys math-rock, fusion, and pop. He is currently a full-time student at Saddleback College and strives to influence his own students to be passionate about music and their own pursuit of drumming.
